Olive oil is the extract of the fruit from an olive tree that is commonly used in Mediterranean cooking, where 95 percent of today’s olive trees are growing. Olive oil is preferable to other types of oil, because it contains more monounsaturated fats which have been linked to the reduction of the risk of heart disease.
Many experts attribute its use in the Mediterranean diet and the correspondingly low incidence of heart disease as evidence that it lowers your risk of contracting the disease. The FDA advises replacing saturated fat with two tablespoons of olive oil daily in order to reap the benefits. Olive oils also lower blood sugar levels as well as blood pressure.
Olive oils are divided into various grades with extra virgin olive oil being the least processed. As it is the least processed, extra virgin olive oil is the healthiest oilive oil you can consume.
Olive oil also has laxative properties and is often used as a stool softener. Olive oil also rarely causes allergic reactions and is therefore used in making wide varieties of drugs.
You may have noticed that living organic is becoming a popular lifestyle. Foods aren’t the
only product being produced and grown organically, but drinks as well- even clothing!
Some experts say that organic foods really don’t have any significant health benefits, but
how can pesticides and chemicals not harm our bodies? Although we don’t die immediately after we eat or drink substances that have been grown non-organically, it’s inevitable that it negatively affects our bodies in the long run- it isn’t natural!
Some people justify by saying that organic products may be a little more expensive, but isn’t your health worth it? Don’t you want to live long lives? Long enough to see your grandchildren grow up and have the energy and health to play with them? Think about it. Are you ready to invest in your life and your family?
Now that you have decided to take charge of your life and your health, it is the smartest idea to simply ease into the organic lifestyle for financial and emotional reasons. If you cut
out everything you are used to eating, then you will relapse. I would suggest starting with
organic drinks like organic milk, juice, and soda. Then perhaps move onto fruits and veggies and choose your pace from there. Congratulations on taking a step towards happiness and better health!

If you have kids who guzzle milk by the gallon you know that it can get expensive. Perhaps you’ve heard about the benefits of organic milk but have been turned off by the price. Organic milk can be more than double the price of regular milk but proponents of organic milk say the benefits far outweigh the extra costs.
Milk labeled as USDA Organic has to come from cows that were not treated with a hormone that makes them produce more milk than normal. This milk is created out of the belief that the hormone can cause cancer . However some researchers day that if this protein-based hormone is present in the milk it will be broken down in the digestive tract.
Proponents of organic milk also say that non-organic milk is dangerous because it contains antibiotics given to the cows. However, non-organic milk is tested for antibiotics before it is sold. Also, organic milk is such because cows are given organic feed that is free from potential pesticides.
However, research has not been conclusive in determining whether organic milk is healthier or safer than regular milk. Other proponents of organic milk say they buy it simply because it tastes better.

Refined sugar along with its sweet taste packs along a load of healthy problems. It can
cause obesity, diabetes, and other chronic health conditions. It can even lead to yeast
infections, cause headaches, cell damage, eye problems, nutrietn deficiencies, and
hyperactivity in children. Eating too much sugar can cause tooth decay as well as affect chemicals in your brain because it is such an addictive substance. It’s not the sweet sugar cane that is bad for you, it is the way it is processed that takes away all nutrients and makes refined sugars empty calories, that simply attract fat cells to your body.
Natural sugar supplements or substitutes are used in order to avoid these health
complications from refined sugar as well as alternative sugar substitutes that are dangerous like aspartame. Natural substitutes have less calories but still give you that sweet taste that you love. They also help maintain good bacteria in your intestines so that they function properly. Through using natural sugar supplements you can tackle obesity, achieve weightloss and still enjoy great tasting food!
Some natural sweeteners include:
Stevia
Agave Nectar
Honey
Sucanat
Fruit like bananas, rasperries, or apples as well as maple syrup can also be used as sweeteners! There are so many healthy options!

We’ve all seen advertisements for mixes for men’s protein shakes. We’ve probably also seen men or heard them talk about which types of protein shakes they use. Rarely, however do we see proteins for women who are not looking to bulk up their muscles but who are working out for their health.
Women who work out regularly and who consume protein shakes say they do so in order to ‘feed’ their muscles and help them repair and grow.
People who use protein supplements usually do so in lieu of eating meat or a natural form of protein. If you work out a lot and are not consuming protein in your diet you should either consider adjusting your diet or purchasing a protein shake mix.
Protein shakes are also a good option for women who are trying to lose weight. Because protein is absorbed into the blood faster, it makes you feel full longer and therefore will reduce your desire to snack. This is why people who enjoy a nice hearty meal often go for meat – it is the protein that fills you up and keeps you full. Remember of course that protein shakes alone will not help you lose weight. You must subtract the calories consumed in your shake from your normal diet when considering calorie count.
I dont like taking artificial supplements because its not known if they do more harm long term than short term benefits. Like creatine for example, it helps to retain water in muscles thats why they look bigger but not actual muscles growth.
Im a vegan i.e. no meat, no dairy.
Anyone knows natural supplements to help build muscles?

Genetic engineering is the process by which scientists insert genes from one species into genes of another to maximize profitable factors. For example, seedless watermelon was created by scientists along with tomatoes that ripen slowly and peaches that have a strong odor. Genetic engineering alters the DNA in living things and fundamentally changes their genetic codes. This process can never occur in nature.
Genetic engineering is currently introducing thousands of new proteins that have never been a part of the human food chain. More than sixty percent of processed foods in supermarkets now contain genetically engineered ingredients.
This is a problem for the public, who unknowingly purchase and consume unlabeled genetically modified foods. Genetic engineering also has serious implications for the integrity of the organic food industry. Because the DNA is a ear of corn has changed, the DNA of a corn seed has also changed. If a crop of genetically engineered corn is planted near a crop of organic corn there will be cross contamination caused by insects, birds and other small animals. Thus, the DNA of organic foods will be contaminated until all that exists is foods that were developed in laboratories.
Genetically modified foods have many potential dangers. Firstly, because many of them are relatively new, their long term affects cannot be tested in laboratories. Thus, there could be lurking environmental and health factors linked with genetically engineered foods. Years ago, a genetically modified version of tryptophan, the sleep causing chemical present in warm milk and turkey, caused the deaths of 37 people and 1500 people were partialyl paralyzed.
Because we are now eating foods that have different proteins than we are used to we are fundamentally changing our diets. Again, because long-term tests have not been performed, we do not know or understand the potential long-term affects eating these proteins will have on our own biological systems.
Genetic engineering can also create viruses and toxins in foods that can affect human health. It has been shown that genetic engineering can create more allergens in foods that affect our health.
Because genetically modified foods are not labeled our public health officials are not able to trace potential problems in genetically modified foods. The potential here for mass health problems that cannot be traced is tremendous.
The potentials for risk when consuming modified foods encourages us to make healthier choices and to join the campaign for labeling genetically modified foods.
I am wondering what are some NATURAL supplements to help in aide of weight loss. I am currently taking green tea extract, a multivitamin, a B vitamin complex, fish oil, L Glutamine, and L Carnatine… Are there any other out there that help with metabolism or weight loss?
